2024 AUSTRALIAN AUTO AFTERMARKET INNOVATION AWARDS

AAAA Most Innovative New Aftermarket Product -Electrical

The competition for the AAAA Most Innovative New Aftermarket Product – Electrical award was exceptionally close with seven entries in total from five AAAA members. In this issue, we take a look at the entrants who vied for this award including the winning TVMS Rogue from REDARC Electronics.

REDARC Electronics – TVMS Rogue – WINNER
REDARC Group says it has redefined the standard for 12-volt power management in 4WD and overlanding with the introduction of its groundbreaking Total Vehicle Management System (TVMS) Rogue. It states this system offers a level of control, customisation, and ease of use that directly responds to the complex demands of the aftermarket. The TVMS Rogue is a compact and sophisticated power distribution and control module featuring 10 x 10A outputs capable of giving the user control of a diverse array of devices from REDARC’s RedVision display and RedVision Bluetooth app. Its compact design specifically caters to the unique needs of overlanding vehicles, where space conservation is crucial, and reliability is paramount. The system interfaces with up to eight switch inputs, allowing automation from switches or signals around the vehicle, making it conducive to a high degree of customisation for any aftermarket application. The TVMS Rogue also incorporates advanced features like light dimming and timer functions which are not readily available on the market, catering for even the most advanced builds.

CTEK – CS One
CTEK says its CS ONE is a smart, easy to use, fully automatic battery charger and maintainer which features CTEK’s innovative APTO adaptive charging technology, which automatically delivers a customised charging program for any 12V lead acid or lithium battery, whatever the size of battery or the state of its health. The whole process is fully automatic – there are no buttons to press or modes to select and the clear, easy to read display’s countdown timer shows how long there is left before the battery is fully charged. It will even show when there is enough charge in the battery to start the vehicle. CTEK says CS ONE is also extremely safe, featuring polarity free clamps so there’s no need to worry if the wrong clamp is on the wrong terminal: CS ONE recognises the battery’s positive and negative terminals, and automatically adjusts to deliver the correct polarity. It also features built-in temperature compensation that adjusts the output charge voltage according to the ambient temperature. The charger can also be used with the free to download, Bluetooth enabled CTEK APP, which opens up additional features.

Noco – Noco GeniusPRO Battery Charger
Noco says its GeniusPro battery charger boasts an advanced architecture which pushes the limits of power efficiency for “unprecedented power in an incredibly compact size.” The all-new start-voltage sensor allows the Genius to detect and charge dead batteries as low as one volt. For extremely dead batteries lower than one volt, manually turn on force mode to detect and charge batteries all the way down to zero volts. A multi-functional design allows you to charge in more ways and the new integrated thermal sensor automatically monitors and adjusts the charging cycle based on fluctuations of ambient temperature, limiting the chance of under-charging or over-charging and providing a more accurate and fully charged battery. Also included is a dual-voltage power supply of 12-volt (25-amp) and 24-volt (12.5-amp) to maintain constant power delivery without unwanted ripple, noise, and transient spikes during ECU flashing, reprogramming, and diagnostic testing. The GeniusPRO50 is also equipped with a reduced charge current mode which allows the unit to operate at 10A for optimised charging of smaller batteries or continual maintenance.
