REPCO’S NEW JACKS
Trolley Jacks must now meet a higher standard for increased durability and longevity
In December 2019, new standards came into effect for Trolley Jacks sold in the Australian market (AS 2615:2016).
As part of the updates to the mandatory standards, a requirement was set that all Trolley Jacks must now meet a higher standard for increased durability and longevity.
This led to many manufacturers having to reduce the rated capacity on their existing Trolley Jacks as well as move away from Aluminium construction.
In line with the new standards, Repco says it has developed a leading range of Trolley Jacks that cover a wide range of lifting capacities to meet the requirements of Australia’s professional workshops.
All Repco branded Service Jacks come with a Two-Year Trade Warranty supported by the nationwide network of Repco stores.
Repco says its 1800kg Low Profile Aluminium Service Jack (RJF1.8T-AL) has been designed with the professional workshop in mind.
The two-stage hydraulic, 1800kg lifting capacity covers the majority of passenger vehicle applications, combined with it’s 95mm minimum height making it perfect for getting under low profile cars.
Aluminium Trolley Jacks have a significant weight saving advantage over their Steel counterparts, making them ideal for mobile mechanics, track day use plus anyone who uses a Trolley Jack daily who is looking to reduce fatigue.
To reduce workshop noise and disruption, the Repco 1800kg Low Profile Aluminium Service Jack (RJF1.8T-AL) has been designed with nylon wheels making it far quieter than steel wheels when rolled across workshop floors, while also having the additional benefit of protecting the epoxy coating found on most workshop floors.
