FRAM FILTERS

Filpro Automotive says these filters have been trusted since 1934 for performance and reliability

Whether you have heard of FRAM Filters before or it is a name you are hearing for the first time, those behind the products say their “world-class quality filtration” is backed by more than 91 years of experience, research and development, making them “a market leader in filter technology.”
FRAM explains that its products are designed, engineered and manufactured in-house, with multimillion-dollar test rigs, giving them the capabilities to test OEM-ISO/SAE/JIC specifications.
The constant research, testing and development that is invested into FRAM filtration reportedly keeps these products up to date and relevant in the advancing technologies within the industry; and is a means of manufacturing filters that meet or exceed Original Equipment Manufacturers’ filtration specifications.
FRAM says the key to filter performance is the quantity and quality of the material used in the filter media, stating that it ensures that all incoming raw materials meet quality standards before production.
The filter media is made of cellulose fibres, synthetic material or a blend of both, to provide an ideal balance of efficiency and flow, allowing the correct flow of oil, air or fuel to pass through to maintain the needs of the engine.
When testing oil filters, FRAM uses a method that passes contaminated oil through a test
filter multiple times, until the pressure differential across the filter reaches a pre-determined level.
The test equipment also uses optical particle counters that count the number of solid particles in the oil before and after it passes through the filter, and based on this test, an oil filter is assigned a B, or Beta Ratio.
Giving further testament to its commitment to quality, FRAM says it has designed and manufactured its air filters to withstand Australia’s demanding climate, where it is too dry to keep highly abrasive silicate dust from being lifted into the atmosphere by high winds.
FRAM says its air filters provide superior protection, with rigorously tested filter media and increased dirt-holding capacity that surpasses ISO 5011 testing standards.
FRAM also says it believes in the importance of drivers’ and passengers’ wellbeing, with its FRAM Fresh Breeze cabin filters removing up to 98 percent of dust particles that are larger than 10 microns in diameter from the air entering the cabin.
For the daily commuter or the weekend 4WD warrior, or even those who spend time on the racetrack, FRAM Filters Australia says it has them covered, keeping vehicles operating at peak efficiency.
FRAM Filters are available in Australia nationwide and are backed by a comprehensive warranty.
