An effective aftermarket alternative

JLM Lubricants says its JLM Diesel DPF Refill Fluid offers an aftermarket alternative for particulate filter regeneration fluids from most popular car manufacturers.
With the latest generation JLM Diesel DPF Refill Fluid, JLM says it can offer one replacement product with a very broad OE coverage.
Thanks to the new composition, JLM explains this refill fluid is suitable as a replacement for OE particulate filter regeneration fluids of the first, second, third and fourth generation.
Further, JLM says it ensures soot particles in the DPF burn at a lower temperature which improves the service life of the diesel particulate filter.

JLM warns: not all DPF refill fluids are the same
JLM warns that the increasing usage of DPFs in modern vehicles has led to an influx of poorly performing DPF refill fluids with a minimal dose of active ingredients.
It says the appeal of these products is the price, but just like with any other product on the market – you get what you pay for.
This is especially important in today’s cost-cutting climate where automotive technicians are trying to keep the vehicle maintenance and parts repair costs down in order to ensure customer loyalty, but opting for the cheapest product available can often yield the exact opposite results, says JLM.
“It can be challenging to convince the technicians that they should invest in a product that really does what it says on the tin as opposed to choosing the cheapest,” JLM Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Gilbert Groot, said.
“Especially when the cheap DPF refill fluid additives boast of doing everything that our products do.”
JLM says it decided to put some of those products under a microscope in their research laboratory in The Netherlands.
It states the testing revealed the cheap DPF refills contain only a fraction of the working ingredients.
“Their claims are inaccurate and right down misleading…. they’re not fit for purpose,” Gilbert said.
“Ultimately you are tasked with looking after your customer’s vehicle and to do that effectively, you must choose products that deliver on their promises and that extend the life of vehicle parts, in this case the DPF.
“Savvy technicians know that quality counts and it delivers.”
