Since diesel particulate filters (DPFs) became mandatory in Australia from 2016, there are now more of these parts in service than ever before.
Theoretically, a properly maintained and regularly serviced DPF can have an expected service life of 120,000–200,000 kilometres.
However, degradation due to age, contamination and/or sub-optimal driving conditions can drastically reduce this time – increasing the demand for affordable replacement DPFs.

Each DPF is built with a ceramic core, designed to withstand extreme temperatures such as the 600⁰ C required to engage the DPF regeneration cycle.
