SUPERFORMANCE IFS

Independent front suspension offers a smoother ride, says Superformance

The suspension is a vital part of any vehicle, keeping the occupants off the ground and helping to create a smooth ride.
A good suspension will absorb the effects of any irregularities in the road like bumps and small holes.
A bad suspension can lead to loss of control of a vehicle, especially at high speeds.
The higher the quality of suspension, the smoother the ride will be.
An independent front suspension, referred to as IFS, offers much better handling than front suspension designs that were used previously, says Superformance.
The company explains an IFS also usually has a lower unsprung weight than earlier available suspensions.
In previous designs, when one wheel hit a bump or hole, both wheels in the front would be affected. An IFS isolates the effects to one wheel, leading to improved handling and greater vehicle stability.
With this suspension, each front wheel moves on its own, independent from the other front wheel. The result is an overall boost in safety and ride quality, says Superformance.
Among its range of products, Superformance says it offers IFS kits that are custom engineered and manufactured to replace the previous suspension designs that it describes as “outdated, poorly constructed, and less safe.”
Installing an IFS will significantly improve the handling of the vehicle as well as the overall ride experience while also improving the vehicle’s safety and security, Superformance says.
Superperformance states that it has invested much time and research into designing the best quality independent front suspensions.
Camber, caster, and anti dive were all taken into consideration at the time of manufacturing as the company pursued its goal to create the best overall ride experience for consumers.
On offer are premium shim adjustable control arm shafts to assist wheel alignment shops with installation. Superperformance can also install an IFS kit for consumers.
The company supplies independent front suspension and rear suspension systems for all common passenger vehicles manufactured from 1923 to 1998.
