Narva’s EX2 Driving Lights and Light Bar range impressed the judges of this year’s coveted Australian International Good Design Awards recently, with the lights winning the ‘Product Design – Commercial and Industrial’ category.
The Good Design Awards are often described as the highest honour for design and innovation in the country and celebrate the best new products and services in the market, recognising excellence in architectural design, engineering, fashion, digital and communication design.
As the winner of the Product Design category, the EX2 range was evaluated against a large competitive field by over 80 Australian and international jurors, including designers, engineers, architects and thought leaders.
Each entry was assessed according to a strict set of design evaluation criteria which included Good Design, Design Innovation and Design Impact.
Conceptualised, developed and engineered in Australia, Narva says the range was born with demanding Australian conditions and applications in mind, and combines superior lighting performance, eye-catching looks, rugged construction and impressive customisation options.
The EX2 Driving Lights’ hybrid beam is said to offer outstanding width and distance, removing dark spots and hot spots for superior clarity at night.
With advanced LED technology, these lights produce a bright, focused beam that greatly improves visibility on the road, making it easier to spot obstacles in low-light conditions.
The EX2 LED Light Bars feature high power 5W ‘Cree’ LEDs that deliver an intense hybrid beam pattern, providing strong lighting penetration and width without dark spots or hot spots.
Further, Narva says that perhaps even more attractive to owners is the range’s ability to be adjusted to create a myriad of looks to best suit the needs of owners.
This customisation is accessed via a smart phone app to make changing the position light colours easy to match the driver’s mood, in what Narva says is a first for Australian and New Zealand markets.
Narva says EX2 also performs well in the sustainability stakes with the lens/lens protector, diecast housing, and composite bracket made from recyclable materials, helping to reduce waste in landfills at end of life.
Other benefits include a seven-year ‘no fault’ warranty and the highest possible ingress protection (IP68 and IP69K) as well as meeting ECE R10 and CISPR25 Class 3 certification.
Narva’s LED EX2 range is available from leading four-wheel drive, automotive and transportation outlets nationwide.
