Meguiar’s has introduced two new ceramic coating products which are made to deliver professional-grade ceramic coating results without all the difficulties in application.
Meguiar’s Ultimate Ceramic Coating and Professional M888 Beyond Ceramic Coating are designed to be 100 percent DIY-friendly with a straightforward application process and end results consumers can appreciate.
Meguiar’s advertises these as the next evolution in ceramic coatings with increased longevity and better performance.
Someone who is trying to complete a ceramic coating project on their own may encounter waxes and spray detailers that rely on ordinary SiO₂ hybrid-ceramic chemistry.
However, Meguiar’s says it formulates its ceramic coating products with a different process than any other similar product on the market.
It states its cross-linking curing process results in in a strong, direct surface bond when applied to a properly prepared surface.
Meguiar’s says this formulation also leads to greater durability, slickness, chemical resistance, and hydrophobic properties as compared to its competitors.

Meguiar’s advertises this as being as easy to apply as a spray wax but with up to one full year of protection.
It can also be used to refresh professionally applied ceramic coatings to increase protection and encourage water beading.
The high-quality finish can also help make drying and maintenance easier, and one 236ml bottle has enough product to coat up to four cars.
The Professional M888 Beyond Ceramic Coating does require a specific application technique, but it is significantly less technical and much more forgiving than the average professional coating, says Meguiar’s.
The brand states this product is still very user-friendly with a triple-layer microfibre application pad and clear instructions on how to proceed.
It states consumers may find it worth the extra effort for the multi-year protection and super glossy finish that hides minor surface imperfections.
Meguiar’s also promises this product will deliver next-level water beading and incredible slickness.
The brand says that both of these products are suitable for paintwork, plastic trim, PPF, wheels, and chrome.
