MATSON BATTERY TESTER

Tridon says this is a complete workshop battery testing solution

The BT2400HD is the latest offering from Matson in the professional battery testing space.
The purpose of this model is to dramatically increase efficiency when testing multiple battery setups.
It can be very time consuming accessing and separating 24V battery systems in trucks and industrial equipment or large banks of 12V batteries in lifting equipment or golf carts and so on in order to test each battery looking for a fault.
The BT2400HD allows the user to test the condition and performance of the whole battery pack together, and then the condition of each battery in the pack – without needing to disconnect the batteries from the vehicle or each other.
This makes a tedious job much faster, allowing service technicians to spend their valuable time on other tasks.
Featuring patented Single Load Dynamic Resistance technology and temperature compensation, the BT2400HD is both fast and extremely accurate.
Returning results in less than five seconds, battery testing becomes a quick and simple task to either diagnose or rule out a battery fault.
The Dynamic Resistance technology applies an actual load to the battery, but using micro-switching there is no danger of the tester damaging the battery itself, making it more accurate than commonly used impedance testing, and much gentler on the battery than the old carbon pile tester, says Tridon.
The BT2400HD is compatible with all major lead acid 6V and 12V starting battery chemistries, including flooded, AGM flat plate, AGM spiral plate, Enhanced Flooded Batteries (EFB) and VRLA/Gel.
Batteries can be tested to all major international ratings such as CCA, EN, EN2, IEC, JIS, DIN and CA/MCA.
Once a battery fault has been either confirmed or ruled out, the BT2400HD can also test the starting and charging systems of 12V and 24V vehicles.
You can check the battery voltage under starting load, the alternator output and diode ripple, for complete insight into the vehicle charging system; enter the vehicle VIN to uniquely identify the test report; save up to 3000 reports in the tester; or export the data to a PC via the included software for further external analysis.
