ACL Bearing Company (Australia) Pty Ltd says it is proud to announce the extension of its longstanding partnership with Supercars team, Grove Racing.
Once again, Grove Racing will compete under the Penrite Racing banner for the 2024 season, featuring the new driver pairing of Matt Payne in Car 19 and Richie Stanaway in Car 26.
ACL Bearing Company (Australia) Pty Ltd General Manager, Chris Brooks, expressed the significance of the partnership.
“We have had a long and enduring relationship with the team, dating back to the early ‘90s through various iterations of team ownership and vehicle generations,” Chris said.
“We are very proud to partner with the team and love seeing the Penrite cars on the track proudly displaying the ACL brand – the 2024 livery looks amazing.
“We have a long and rich history in Motorsport in Australia and globally, and our involvement with Supercars is a very important category.
“The year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of precision engine bearing manufacturing in Launceston, Tasmania, a milestone that we are immensely proud of.”
Penrite Racing had a very strong second half of the 2023 season, securing seven podiums, including a victory at Surfers Paradise for David Reynolds and a breakthrough win for Matt in the final round in Adelaide.
“This was a fantastic result; Matt’s development throughout the 2023 season was phenomenal, and his success is a testament to his hard work throughout the season. The win in Adelaide was a sensational conclusion to the season, and we are very excited for the upcoming 2024 season,” Chris said.
“The reach of Supercars is significant, and we leverage our relationship with the Penrite team through social media, customer ride day experiences, driver promotional activities, and customer interface opportunities.
“Additionally, ACL continues its partnership with Grove Junior team racer Oscar Targett, who will compete in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge series. Oscar is a tremendous talent, and we are pleased to be part of his Motorsport journey.”
Grove Racing Team Principal, David Cauchi, shared his enthusiasm for the ongoing partnership.
“Our enduring collaboration with ACL is a testament to the shared commitment for success between Penrite Racing and ACL,” David said.
“Our race engines rely on ACL bearing products, enabling us to push the limits of performance.
“ACL has also been a great supporter of the Grove Junior team, contributing to the development of the future stars of our sport.”
“We extend our best wishes to the team for a successful 2024 season and eagerly anticipate the moment when we see the cars on the grid for Round One, the Bathurst Superfest 500 at the mountain,” Chris said.
