The Topo DC Power plug and play lithium range goes all-weather

The Topo DC Power brand has had a suite of reliable and outback-tested dual battery systems on the market for a number of years, and has just released a new and complementary addition to the range.
Topo explains these Lithium Iron Phosphate power systems are a complete all-in-one, true plug and play 12V portable power option.
‘The Tinny Mate’ is the latest addition to Topo’s DC power plug and play lithium range, aimed at the outdoor RV market and suitable for fridges and ‘fishos.’
The Tinny Mate is a Patent Pending Australian design innovation that places a powerful and portable 12V/100AH, 1280Wh lithium battery unit sealed in a High Impact, UV Resistant, Waterproof casing.
Topo says this makes it unique and the ideal choice when a more demanding and rugged battery is required for marine or outback applications and remote back-up power.
The International Registered design uses A grade LiFePO4 prismatic cells with IEC62619 compliance.
Topo says this is a long-lasting and highly stable battery compared with other Lithium types, and provides safe and reliable energy storage and transfer.
Further, it states the ergonomic handle design and 10kg weight make this “one of the most comfortable, compact and powerful units on the market today.”
Features include waterproof on/off buttons, a waterproof LCD display, built-in State of Charge monitoring, built-in Volt and Amp monitoring, built-in Charge and Discharge status, and IP66 rating.
The Tinny Mate also includes BMS with low and high volt cut-offs and low and high temperature cut-offs for “superior protection and trouble-free usage.”
The battery accepts three modes of charging, including mains, solar and vehicle and boasts a cycle life over 3000 cycles at 1C, 80 percent DOD, with a self-discharge rate of less than five percent per month, for confident storage.
Other features include heavy-duty Anderson type connectors that allow for easy connection to all 12V distribution and accessories.
Accessories include DCDC chargers, Mains Chargers, Solar Panels and a new Pocket DCDC charger that connects to any vehicle ciga-socket to provide all vehicle owners with a dual battery option without the need for any additional auto-electrics and wiring.
