The BASF division is the exclusive Global Industry Partner for the WorldSkills car painting skills category

BASF Coatings – a division of BASF – says it is stepping up its efforts to drive transformational change in the automotive refinish industry by continuing its mission to support young car painters worldwide.
With its premium paint brand Glasurit, BASF has continued to be the exclusive Global Industry Partner to WorldSkills International in the car painting skills category.
“We are proud to continue to support the young talent taking part in WorldSkills to develop their skills and also attract new talent to the exciting automotive refinish industry,” BASF Senior Vice President, Global Automotive Refinish Coatings, Chris Titmarsh, said.

After a successful introduction at WorldSkills Lyon 2024, BASF says Glasurit will continue to leverage its most advanced waterborne basecoat system 100 Line which is backed with “outstanding proven benchmark results as the world’s leading waterborne refinish paint system for outstanding performance in process time, consumption, and sustainability.”
Furthermore, participants will learn to integrate Refinity in their daily work routine, an exclusive digital platform for colour, training and business solutions.
The world’s largest skills competition, WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, will take place on September
22-27, 2026, in Shanghai, China.
