BURSON AUTO PARTS STRENGTHENS SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY COMMITMENT AT CAPRICORN CONVENTION

The company has pledged a $10,000 donation to be allocated across three deserving charities

Burson Auto Parts, a long-standing supporter of Australia’s largest automotive cooperative Capricorn, reaffirmed its dedication to social and environmental responsibility at this year’s Capricorn Convention Gala Dinner in Hawaii.
As the gala dinner sponsor, Burson Auto Parts introduced a new initiative, rerouting from traditional delegate gifts to a more sustainable approach to community support.
In a departure from previous conventions where soft plush toys were distributed to delegates, Burson Auto Parts revealed a Hawaiian themed postcard, offering delegates the opportunity to select a charity for a donation to be made on their behalf.
Burson Auto Parts says this shift in approach shows the level of care it has to social and environmental topics, recognising the importance of adapting traditions to align with core values.
“We were proud to change things up and move into a new direction at the Capricorn Convention 2024,” Burson Auto Parts Group Marketing and Communications Manager, Fiona Gotas, said.
“By empowering delegates to choose a charity for our donation, we are not only contributing to worthy causes but also engaging our community in a meaningful way.”
Burson Auto Parts has pledged a $10,000 donation to be allocated across three deserving charities, showing the company’s commitment to supporting a diverse range of causes:
• Healthy Male: a generous $5,000 contribution to support men’s health initiatives.
• The Smith Family: an impactful $3,000 donation to assist disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
• Orange Sky: a compassionate $2,000 contribution to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness through mobile laundry and shower services.
Capricorn Group Chief Executive Officer, David Fraser, was thrilled that the Capricorn Convention was able to facilitate such a generous donation to worthy causes.
“Capricorn Conventions are all about bringing our community together to network and have fun,” David said.
“Burson’s donation added an extra element to the event this year, with guests being involved in the community giving process.
“By allowing Members to vote for charities instead of receiving a plush toy they were able to support community causes which meant something to them.”
This collective contribution is said to underscore Burson Auto Parts’ commitment to making a positive impact on the community, addressing critical issues and supporting those in need.
“At Burson Auto Parts, community lies at the core of our values,” Fiona said.
“We believe in giving back and creating a lasting change. By partnering with these charities, we aim to uplift and support vulnerable individuals and families.”
Burson Auto Parts says it remains dedicated to fostering meaningful connections within the automotive industry and beyond.
As part of this commitment, the company says it will provide updates on the allocation of the donation, ensuring transparency and accountability to all Capricorn Convention attendees.
