Castrol Australia and New Zealand is pleased to confirm an extension to its long-standing partnership with leading Supercars team, Tickford Racing.
The multi-year deal will see Castrol continue as a naming rights partner of Tickford Racing through 2025 and beyond, extending one of the longest running sponsorships in the Repco Supercars Championship.
“Castrol is immensely proud to continue its long-standing partnership with Tickford Racing,” Castrol Australia and New Zealand Marketing Director, Jotika Prasad, said.
“In such a competitive environment like the Supercars Championship, Tickford Racing has always been up for the challenge and the team’s performance in 2024 demonstrated just that.
“Castrol and Tickford Racing have enjoyed great success together and we know that there’s more great times ahead as we look forward.
“Having two great drivers – and people – like Thomas and Cam representing Castrol is the perfect fit. We know with them behind the wheel of Tickford Racing Ford Mustangs, they are going to unlock the very edge of performance every time.”
Castrol was one of the first partners of Tickford Racing in its original FPR (Ford Performance Racing) guise in 2003.
The partnership has remained unbroken since, meaning that the team’s 2025 season will mark their 23rd year together.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Castrol, a brand that’s been integral to Tickford Racing for so many seasons,” Tickford Racing Chief Executive Officer, Simon Brookhouse, said.
“Their ongoing support has played a key role in our success, and we’re excited to continue building on that foundation into 2025 and beyond.”
Castrol will continue to be the primary backer of Thomas Randle’s #55 Castrol Racing Mustang in what will be Randle’s fourth year as a primary driver with Tickford Racing.
The 2024 Supercars Championship was the coming of age for Thomas, achieving a career-best fifth in the Championship.
His season included a number of firsts, including his maiden pole position (Symmons Plains) and podium finishes in back-to-back events to close out the season.
“It is really exciting that Castrol will continue as a major partner of Tickford Racing in 2025 and beyond,” Thomas said.
“This is a partnership that stretches back to 2003, and for me, I’m proud to have represented Castrol since I first joined the Supercars Championship.
“We enjoyed some strong results in 2024. We can’t wait for 2025 to roll around, and to be doing it again with Castrol is already a dream result.”
Castrol will also remain present as a major partner on the #6 Monster Energy Mustang piloted by Cam Waters, as he and Tickford Racing chase for Championship glory.
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship gets underway under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park from 21– 23 February 2025.
