CONOR SHANAHAN TRIUMPHS IN POLAND
Long-term ACL partner and Irish drift driver Conor Shanahan recently clinched the 2023 Drift Master European Championship
Conor Shanahan recently clinched the 2023 Drift Master European Championship at the season finale at the PGE Narodowy arena in Warsaw, Poland in front of 53,000 fans.
ACL General Manager, Chris Brooks, said this is a fantastic achievement from Conor and the whole family.
“It was a great season for Team Shanahan with elder brother Jack coming fifth overall in the championship,” Chris said.
“We are proud to have been associated with Conor and Jack for the last seven years. To see the achievements of Season 2023 and the success of Conor and his family was a fantastic reward and a culmination of all of their hard work over many years.”
ACL first became involved with the Shanahans at a chance meeting with the family at the Autosport Birmingham tradeshow in January 2017. At this time Conor was only 13 years of age and already a professional drift car driver, following in the footsteps of his elder brother Jack.
“We have been very impressed with Conor’s professionalism and development in the sport. Conor is a great ambassador for our brand and has a very strong and passionate social media following,” Chris said.
Chris said Drifting has a huge following throughout Europe, USA and Japan.
“We are very proud that our brand is the first choice of the engine builders and race teams in the category. We are also involved with drifting in Australia with local Tasmanian partner Brodie Maher – the 2021/2022 Australian champion and 2023 runner up,” Chris said.
ACL is involved with partnerships with drivers and teams in a wide range of motorsport categories globally.
“In addition to providing content for our social media outlets and printed product, sponsorships such as this provide an ‘inside line’ into the thinking and planning in a wide range of racing. Our customers and partners are our best research and development resource. We are looking forward to the 2024 season and the next chapter for Conor,” he added.
