COOLDRIVE EXPANDS SAFETY EQUIPMENT RANGE
The company has added to its range of EV and Hybrid safety equipment
Automatic defibrillators and associated accessories have been added to CoolDrive Auto Parts’ range of safety equipment for workshops.
“This new product range at CoolDrive has been introduced in response to new Australian Standard AS 5732:2022 for workshops working with electric and hybrid vehicles,” CoolDrive Auto Parts Category Manager, David Haley, said.
“This new Australian Standard AS 5732:2022 specify exact requirements on safe and appropriate handling procedures, and provide guidance on safety and personal protective equipment, particularly around electrical hazards and the availability of an automatic external defibrillator.”
Now available at CoolDrive is the industry-leading HeartSine samaritan semi-automatic and fully-automatic Public Access Defibrillators, which can be used by both people trained in CPR, and those who are untrained.
The easy-to-understand visual and voice prompts guide the rescuer through the entire resuscitation process, including CPR, with the unit conducting its own weekly checks to ensure it is ready to use at any time.
Weighing just 1.1kg, CoolDrive Auto Parts says they are the lightest units on the market, and with a compact footprint, they are easily transported and can be installed in tight spaces.
The HeartSine defibrillators benefit from the innovative Pad-Pak, an integrated battery and electrode single-use cartridge with one expiration date, resulting in a simple maintenance change once every four years.
Offering a IP56 rating, one of the highest ratings in the industry against dust and moisture protection, the HeartSine samaritan units are backed by an eight-year warranty.
Complementing this new defibrillator range are associated safety accessories including a Jaylec Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Cabinet to protect the AED, which comes equipped with an alarm and strobe light which will activate when the door is opened, along with a Jaylec AED Prep Kit.
