EIBACH SPRINGS

Eibach says its springs provide precision engineering for every ride

The spring and the damper are two critical components of a motor vehicle that are intrinsically linked – together they form a harmonious relationship of force and velocity to help deliver a balanced ride.
Without the correct spring to maintain position, a damper will be incapable of performing its primary function.
Similarly, a vehicle with an inappropriate damper will not be balanced as the spring must be controlled (damped) in its movement.
Without this carefully engineered relationship of push-and-pull, the vehicle would be almost impossible to control, unsafe for the road, and not optimised for performance.
On the one hand, motor vehicle occupants should be isolated from unpleasant bumps, lifting, pitching and rolling movements; the aim is permanent grip and optimum traction.
On the other hand, in motorsport you need maximum setup flexibility, that is, adjustable dampers in terms of compression and rebound and the flexibility of a wide spring range.
Eibach says it is able to achieve both these goals through their Pro-Kit and Sportline lowering springs and Pro-Lift and Replacement Line ranges which are aimed at the aftermarket industry.
Additionally, Eibach explains that its ERS springs range has been servicing the motorsport industry since 1984 and consists of nearly 2000 different part numbers which are readily available to meet the fast-paced demands and requirements of the motorsport and aftermarket industry.
For an optimum suspension setup and ride quality, the springs and dampers must be of the highest quality.
Eibach says this is why its products are chosen by the world’s leading damper manufacturers and numerous motor vehicle manufacturers as the supplier and manufacturer of their springs.
All of Eibach’s aftermarket springs are tested on the original damper to ensure suitability with the vehicle.
Further, Eibach states its ERS springs have market leading performances in block strength, tolerances in rate, linearity and dynamic load capacity, utilising high-travel designs formed using cold-wound high-tensile perfect for a wide variety uses, especially in motorsport.
The continual progression of vehicle and suspension design throughout OE and Motorsport has generated exciting new challenges in design and manufacturing which Eibach says it has successfully met worldwide.
