In an industry where many global manufacturers have transitioned to off-shore manufacturing, FUCHS Lubricants, which says it is the world’s largest independent lubricants manufacturer, states it remains fully committed to supporting the Australian Automotive Aftermarket with premium quality lubricants.
With two state-of-the art manufacturing plants, located in Sunshine in Victoria and Beresfield in New South Wales, FUCHS asserts it “is the only manufacturer to produce lubricants, coolants, greases and additives locally.”
Offering a wide range of automotive lubricants expertly designed for the Australian car parc, FUCHS explains that its customers are also supported by Australian-based customer service and technical support teams, with the company stating, “this is why they are first choice for so many automotive workshops across the country.”
Local manufacturing and customer support are not the only aspects of FUCHS’ commitment to its Australian customers.
FUCHS Lubricants (Australasia) is also home to two multi-million dollar research and development laboratories that are dedicated to developing innovative lubricant solutions.
Samples of each batch of lubricants produced are tested daily with strict quality control procedures in place to ensure premium quality lubricants that may carry many OEM approvals, vital specifications and key recommendations.
“Visitors to our laboratories are very impressed by the range of world-class equipment we have invested in and the rigorous testing that we perform on our products,” FUCHS Lubricants (Australasia) Research and Development Manager (Victoria), Matthew Gregory, said.
To further support its key strategy of being close to its customers, FUCHS has also recently invested in a new state-of-the-art 17,000m2 National Distribution Centre managed and operated by Linfox in Derrimut, Victoria.
“Our five-star Green Star designed distribution centre features a high degree of digitalisation, advanced warehouse management systems and order fulfillment processes to ensure our customers have access to premium lubricants, which is critical with ongoing global supply chain risks,” FUCHS Lubricants (Australasia) Director and Chief Operating Officer, Joe Ferm, said.
FUCHS says it is also committed to being a sustainable member of the Australian manufacturing industry.
With renewable energy sources including solar power arrays capable of producing over 30 percent of the electricity required to power the manufacturing plants and CO2-compensated processes, FUCHS aims to be carbon neutral by 2040.
