The event celebrated women industry professionals at the Melbourne Grand Prix

Gates Australia, a leading manufacturer of application-specific power transmission and fluid power solutions, says it was proud to host its first Ladies Day event recently, celebrating women industry professionals at the F1 Melbourne Grand Prix.
The event was hosted in the Gates sponsored Penrite Racing corporate hospitality suite on the Friday of the four-day event.
Gates Ladies Day was an exclusive event with a guest list comprising of staff, customers and promotion winners, and is part of Gates Australia’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, diversity and equality in the workplace.
The goal of the event was to bring together women of different backgrounds and industries to celebrate their achievements and contributions to the workforce.
“Gates was honored to host its first ever Ladies’ Day event at the Melbourne Grand Prix last week,” Gates Australia Marketing Manager, Priscilla Robb, said.
“Thirty professional women from across various industry sectors including a number of Gates team members, came together to network and build new business relationships, all whilst enjoying the F1 action on the track.
“Through this initiative and others, Gates continues to celebrate and embrace women in the workplace.”
Attendees on the day enjoyed premium food and beverages from Pit Entry, which provided premium views overlooking the track to watch the Supercars and Formula 1 races.
The women were also taken on a tour of the Penrite Racing pits and met the Penrite Racing Supercar drivers David Reynolds and Matthew Payne.
All attendees were given an exclusive gift bag from Gates, with sponsored products from Australian owned businesses led by women entrepreneurs including Dasher + Fisher, Euclove natural cleaning products, Go-To skin care, Koja Bar, Hydrodol, Meeraboo candles and Yarra Valley Chocolaterie.
Gates Australia reports that directly after the event, feedback was received from many attendees that they had a wonderful day and expressed their appreciation to Gates for putting on such a fantastic networking event.
