Macnaught says its BOP Battery Operated Pump offers a solution to this challenge.
Designed for 20 and 60/205-liter drums, it says the BOP provides a more efficient and safer way to handle oil, achieving this in two distinctively integrated ways.
The first way is by employing powerful 18V Lithium Ion battery technology.
Using this technology gives the ability to provide on-demand power for the accurate delivery of specialised oils up to SAE90.
Battery power is common in the modern automotive workshop as the BOP’s Lithium Ion rechargeable battery is complemented with a desk charger to provide a full recharge in just one hour.
The second way is through a portable, self-priming pump which is capable of single handedly dispensing oils from 3/5/10L oil cans to 20 and 60/205 litre drums, on-demand.
The on-demand feature comes from an internal pressure switching mechanism that senses the fluid pressure when the control nozzle is closed – thereby interrupting the pumping process.
Flow resumes when the control nozzle is opened due to the pressure drop in the delivery hose detected by the pressure switching mechanism.
An additional and distinct innovative feature of the BOP reflects the fact noted above regarding the increasing variety of oil pumps to support the multitude of oils required by automotive works and mitigating their cross contamination.
Macnaught explains the BOP is suitable for engine oil, gear oil, hydraulic oil (oils up to SAE140 viscosity), automatic transmission fluid (ATF) and engine coolant. A single BOP Pump stem can handle multiple fluid types.
Designed and manufactured in Australia, the Macnaught BOP is a portable, rechargeable, 18-volt battery operated oil pump, designed to improve workshop efficiency and reduce the fatigue inherent in the operation of manual oil pumps.
