MADE FOR AUSTRALIA

Penrite has been Australian owned and operated for almost 100 years

At 98 years young, Penrite Oil says it is the oldest Australian lubricant company and still a family owned and operated business.
Penrite manufactures a range of products including Engine Oils, Automatic Transmission Fluids, Gear and Differential Oils, Coolants, Greases, Heavy Duty Oils, Hydraulic and Industrial oils, Farm and Construction products, Two/Four Stroke and Garden Equipment Oils, Fuel Treatments and Additives, Car Care, Motorcycle and Marine products, Veteran Vintage and Classic products, Brake Fluids, and Power Steering and Suspension Fluids.
Penrite also owns and markets the iconic Lightning Hand Cleaner brand which was established in 1962.
Penrite services Australia and New Zealand and exports product to Asia, Europe, and the USA.
Part of the company’s success is attributed to the the fact that it manufactures products in Australia for Australian conditions.
As vehicles have become more sophisticated, so have the lubricants that are needed to service them, and Penrite says it has adapted to meet the latest manufacturer and industry specifications whilst still producing products right here in Australia.
The number of oil specifications has grown significantly over the last two decades with an emphasis to improve fuel efficiency whilst reducing emissions.
Vehicle manufacturers have a multitude of different specifications, OEM requirements, and industry standards that are required for servicing which have complicated choosing the correct product for each application.
Clearly, manufacturing the product is only one part of the journey – making sure Penrite customers get the correct product for their application is also essential to the company and to facilitate this, Penrite says it has some innovative tools and services available to help customers make the right selection.

The Penrite Product Selector
To make finding the correct products for each application easier, Penrite created The Penrite Product Selector.
Available on the web or via a free mobile App for both Apple and Android platforms, Penrite says the Product Selector will help find the correct lubricants, coolants and additives for passenger car, light commercial vehicle, motorcycle, truck, bus, industrial machine, marine, garden appliance and classic machine applications.
Both the web-based and app-based programs also have the Penrite Rego Check* function to easily allow workshops and customers to find the correct vehicle and hence be provided with the correct products to service the vehicle.
The Penrite Product Selector allows searches by vehicle, by specification, by product suitability, or by cross reference to another product.
It also has a problem/solution area, and a grease guide built into the platforms, all available off the web page or accessed by the mobile apps.

Penrite Technical Support
Penrite explains that its commitment to the Automotive trade is enhanced by its 100 percent Australian-based Technical Support Team, available from Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.30pm (AEST).
The Penrite Technical Support Team are experts in their field and are available to assist Trade and Retail customers as well as end users with the right advice for every application.
The Tech Team is available by phone by calling 1300 736 748 and also via a chat service from the Penrite web page should you need assistance.

Penrite Instore Touch Screens
Facing a wall full of different products can be intimidating at best if you don’t know the right specification required for your vehicle.
Getting it wrong could lead to voiding the vehicle warranty, expensive repair bills, breakdowns, wasted downtime and legal action, to name a few.
Penrite says its instore touch screens provide a modern way to look up vehicle year, type, make and model to find the correct products needed for the specific application.
Further, Penrite says its clever ‘Printer’ touch screens (available in selected outlets) can even print off all of the results of the search so users will always know the products needed for servicing their vehicle.
The touch screens are also programmed with the quantity of product required in many applications along with the product sizes needed for a particular application.
Penrite states it was the pioneer of using in-store touch screens to make finding the correct product easier and more convenient for both store staff and self-serve consumers.

Where to Buy Feature
The Penrite web page features a ‘Where to buy’ feature so by typing in a post code, the system will provide a list of Penrite Stockists in the relevant area that range the product you need.

Find a Mechanic
Not all people are comfortable working on their vehicle and would prefer the services of a professional mechanic or vehicle repair and service centre to keep their vehicle in shape.
The Penrite web page allows customers to locate a mechanic in their area that uses Penrite products so they can have their vehicle serviced with Penrite by a professional automotive technician.

My Garage
The Penrite My Garage section of the web page lets users save their vehicle details, set reminders, post on the blog and forums and interact with other enthusiasts over everything to do with lubricants, coolants and additives.

Knowledge Centre and FAQs
Accessed via the Penrite web page, the ‘Knowledge Centre’ contains a myriad of information covering all things to do with Lubricants, Coolants, Greases and Additives.
It has the latest up to date information on industry standards, OEM requirements, terminology as well as many other topics for those that want to delve deeper into the world of lubricants.
The website also has many FAQs to ask the questions for you and provide some quick answers to popular questions asked by users.

OEM and Industry Approvals
Making lubricants and claiming a specification is one thing – having the lubricant officially approved either by an OEM or Industry body signifies that the product does meet the specifications that it claims.
Many Penrite products have OEM approvals and/or industry approvals to meet the service requirements of customers, to maintain vehicle warranty, to provide peace of mind, and to ensure the vehicle performs to the OEM’s requirements.
OEM approvals and Industry approvals are also downloadable from the Penrite web page for reference if needed by customers.

Field and Customer Service
One of Penrite’s strengths has always been its level of service to customers.
Penrite says this has not changed and is still a huge part of the package to not only provide the products needed but to back it up with genuine quality service from a real person dedicated to assisting the customers.
Penrite explains that its sales team is some 40-plus members strong, servicing all areas of Australia and New Zealand to ensure that Penrite customers get the best service available.
This commitment also includes having product where it is needed and Penrite says it meets this challenge by having 23 distribution centres around Australia and New Zealand to make sure customers get the products they need, when they need them.
As with the Penrite Technical Help line, the Penrite Customer Service team are also Australian-based and can assist customers with many of their inquiries. They are available 8.00am to 5.30pm (AEST) Monday to Friday.

Preparing for the next century
Penrite says getting to 98 years old is only the beginning of the journey.
The company says it is investing in Australia to make sure it is around for the next century.
Whilst many other companies and industries have chosen to move manufacturing overseas, Penrite Oil states it has continued to invest in local manufacturing and production, employing Australians to produce products right here in Australia. And it has been doing this since 1926.
