Here is the scenario, your regular customer realises they’ve lost or misplaced their car key – it is a common, frustrating experience for drivers, and mechanics see firsthand the stress and inconvenience it can cause when you are left with only one key for your car, flirting daily with the real prospect of not having a way to start your vehicle if you misplace or damage the only remaining key.
From being stranded at the shops to facing costly delays, not having a spare key can quickly turn a simple inconvenience into a major headache.
That’s where you can stand out by offering added value during vehicle servicing, helping your customers stay prepared by providing spare keys as part of your service options. It is a simple yet impactful way to enhance customer satisfaction and build loyalty.
The VS – VZ Commodore is an example of a very popular vehicle that MAP Keys and Remotes can provide a spare key and DIY programming option for your customer.
MAP Keys and Remotes offer replacement keys fobs and also a very easy to use key programming device that plugs in to the OBD port of the car, allowing multiple keys to be programmed quickly and easily.
The KF200 programming tool works with the MAP keys KF204 and KF205, which suit the range of VS-VZ Commodores.
Programming can be done in approximately two minutes, with a maximum of eight keys programmable to one vehicle.
The KF200 is required because there is no on-board procedure to learn a new key to the vehicle. Using a device is the only way to program new keys.
“It is designed to be simple enough that anyone can DIY and it is the market leading, cost-effective stand-alone solution, designed and programmed in Australia by our in-house team of engineers,” MAP Keys and Remotes says.
The KF200 can be purchased through national parts supply stores in Australia and New Zealand.
