The Mobil 1 C40 GT 0W-40 isn’t just approved by Porsche; indeed, the German automaker “categorically requires its use in all its GT models.”
‘Required by Porsche for…’ is printed right there on the C40 GT 0W-40 bottle and there’s even a licensed Porsche image on the front of the slick-looking, new bottle.
MotorActive – a distributor of Mobil 1 in Australia and New Zealand – says “no other oil brand can make the claim of ‘Required by Porsche’ – it is a whole new level of OEM specification.”
It explains such an exclusive distinction is only possible when you’re not just an oil blender, but a bottom-to-top global motor oil manufacturer.
“ExxonMobil tightly controls the entire process, from exploration (to find the world’s highest quality oil reserves), to the extraction and highly refining of that crude, right through to the engineering of a new super-premium, full-synthetic motor oil like Mobil 1 C40 GT 0W-40,” MotorActive Managing Director, Bruce Morrison, said.
“This last process is key to what makes all Mobil 1 products a cut above the rest, as it entails millions of kilometers and many thousands of hours of real-world testing to rigorously verify the performance and benefits of any new specification.
“That is the level of effort and pioneering innovation it takes to create the world’s leading synthetic oil brand.”
The advanced technology in Mobil 1 C40 GT 0W-40 was developed within the framework of the collaboration established between Mobil 1 and Porsche AG over the last 25 years.
Here, the two companies worked hand in hand to specially formulate this entirely new specification of engine lubricant exclusively for Porsche.
“The C40 GT incorporates a unique additives package that delivers enhanced wear protection and exceptional performance in Porsche’s high-performing, 9000rpm-capable, 4.0-litre, GT engines – even in track and all-out competition applications,” Bruce said.
The long list of Porsche models includes its premium road and race cars, such as the 911 GT3, 911 GT3 Cup (991/992), 911 GT3 R (991/992), 911 GT3 RS (991 and newer), 911 RSR (991), 911 R (991), 911 Speedster (911), 911 S/T (992), 718 Cayman GT4 RS (982), 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport (982), and 718 Spyder RS (982).
