The NATRAD Franchise AGM was held at the end of August as part of the 2024 ADRAD Industry Conference

More than 130 delegates and guests attended the successful event at the Pullman International Hotel in Cairns, Queensland, with almost all NATRAD Franchise workshops from across Australia participating.
The annual event is a unique opportunity for cooling specialists to receive the latest product information, meet with suppliers, and be coached in how to optimise and grow their business.
Highlights from the weekend included presentations from Brian McDonald (Procore International and Micon Industries – Canada), Jeff Smit and Geoff Mutton (TAT), ADRAD Manufacturing, and ADRAD Product Development, as well as a supplier expo and Green Island Tour.
Special celebrity guest presenter, Craig Lowndes (ZF Product and Technical Expert) spoke on Saturday morning and also attended the closing Gala Awards Dinner.
The highlight of the Gala Dinner was the annual awards which recognise the NATRAD Franchise of the Year (FOTY) winners, which were judged according to their commitment to delivering excellence in shop and staff presentation, marketing, sales, and service.
This year’s state awards were claimed by Darren and Loretta Cooper from NATRAD Raymond Terrace, NSW; David and Debby Skerman from NATRAD Dalby, QLD; Justin Young from NATRAD Wodonga, VIC; Kerry-Anne Joseph and brother Dayle Joseph from NATRAD Fremantle, WA; and Ben and Alana Hansen from NATRAD Port Lincoln, SA.
On selected occasions, when a long-standing NATRAD Franchise business owner retires from the group, they are recognised with membership to the NATRAD Hall of Fame, and this year Ron and Dianne Joseph from Geraldton WA were inducted into this select group.
Ron has been involved in the heat exchange industry for more than 65 years and he and Dianne have owned and operated radiator workshops in WA since 1989. Their children are Kerry-Anne and Dayle, who continue to run NATRAD Franchise businesses today.
Later in the evening, the National winners were announced, with the 2024 National NATRAD AutoCare Franchise of the Year award presented to Sunny and Vivian Wong along with Brett and Kerryn Stewartson from NATRAD AutoCare Oak Flats, NSW. This workshop previously won the NSW state award back in 2022.
The trophy for the 2024 National NATRAD Radiators and Auto Air Franchise of the Year was presented to Kerry-Anne Joseph and Dayle Joseph from NATRAD Fremantle, WA – marking the third time in the past five years that NATRAD Fremantle has won the National Award.
