PERFORMANCE CONCENTRIC SLAVE CYLINDERS
Xtreme Clutch says its Performance CSCs are changing the game for engine and transmission conversions
Xtreme Clutch reports that it has seen a great response from the market for its performance concentric slave cylinders, designed as a universal fitment for high performance street and motorsport applications as well as vehicles that are having engine or transmission conversions.
As a division of Australian Clutch Services, Xtreme Clutch developed its performance CSCs in-house as a universal solution for conventional motorsport focused systems.
Designed to support Xtreme Clutch conversion kits, these CSCs needed to provide a universal style fitment with adjustability of height to allow for the dimensional differences seen when changing a transmission or engine from the factory unit.
Xtreme Clutch says the introduction of these performance CSCs as well as changes to its conversion kit process to make it smoother for customers has seen a significant increase in the success of the conversion program.
“Our conversion kit program has always been a popular solution for those replacing their engine or transmission with a unit from a different vehicle,” Australian Clutch Services Mechanical Engineer, Stewart Furze, said.
“One area that often let this process down was the supply and cost of conventional motorsport style concentric slave cylinders.
“We have now gone and developed our own unit that provides an even broader fitment capability, and we carry stock to shorten the timeframe to produce one of these customised clutch solutions.”
The CSCs incorporate a billet 6061 alloy housing, high quality EPDM rubber seals and a threaded adjustment sleeve (where required) for universal applications.
They are also available in a variety of kits with different mounting options to suit various applications, including custom spacers for specific applications such as the Mitsubishi Evo.
“Another benefit of these CSCs is being able to integrate them into some of our pull to push style multi-plate kits, such as the new twin plate organic upgrades we have just developed for the Porsche 996/997 GT3 and Cup cars,” Stewart said.
Xtreme Clutch offers several release bearing options that can be pressed onto the piston of the CSCs to suit different clutch diaphragms and specific kits also include braided clutch lines and a bleeder line that extends outside of the bellhousing to make clutch bleeding as easy as possible.
The CSCs are available in select performance upgrade clutch kits as well as individual items.
