PHINIA SHINES AT AUTOMECHANIKA FRANKFURT
Phinia provided a glimpse into the future of its automotive solutions at the show
In an exciting debut at Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, Phinia Inc showcased a range of cutting-edge automotive solutions alongside its renowned Aftermarket brands, Delphi, Delco Remy, and Hartridge.
Located in Hall 4.0 at stand D51, the Phinia exhibit drew significant attention from industry professionals eager to explore the company’s latest innovations designed to meet the ever-evolving demands of the automotive market.
Phinia Global Vice President of Aftermarket, Neil Fryer, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for participating in such a prestigious event.
“This was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with industry leaders and share our innovations,” Neil said.
“Our focus is on providing top-quality, sustainable solutions that empower our customers to thrive in this fast-paced market.”
One of the standout features of the exhibit was Delphi’s new line of light commercial vehicle (LCV) brake pads, which Phinia explains have been engineered specifically to deliver exceptional durability under heavy loads.
Attendees learned that these innovative brake pads are set to hit the European market in early 2025, marking an important milestone in Delphi’s commitment to quality and performance.
Delphi also took the opportunity to unveil its pioneering range of electric vehicle (EV) brake pads, which Phinia says are the first of their kind for several major EV models, including the Tesla Model 3.
Designed to enhance the driving experience, these brake pads feature advanced materials that minimise noise and vibration, ensuring a smoother ride while supporting the shift toward sustainable driving solutions.
In response to rising demand for nitrogen oxide sensors, Delphi showcased its enhanced sensor range, with 54 new sensors slated for launch in Q4 2024.
Phinia says this expansion not only caters to commercial vehicles but also underscores Delphi’s commitment to supporting cleaner driving practices throughout the continent.
Delco Remy, under the Phinia umbrella, is also making waves with its new starter and alternator program targeting major European truck manufacturers.
This comprehensive all-makes range will debut with 200 part numbers by the end of 2024, with further expansion planned for 2025, ensuring extensive vehicle coverage across the market.
Rounding out the exhibit, Phinia’s Hartridge brand introduced a state-of-the-art hydrogen test rig, capable of evaluating a variety of hydrogen injector technologies.
Phinia says this innovative rig is designed “to meet the needs of both development and low-volume production environments, paving the way for future advancements in hydrogen fuel technology.”
With a rich history and a forward-looking approach, Phinia states it is committed “to shaping the future of the automotive aftermarket, one innovation at a time.”
