Nominations close on the 30th of June, 2024

Nominations are now open for the inaugural REDARC Young Technician of the Year Award, which will be presented to the winner at the 2024 VASA Wire and Gas convention that is scheduled to take place from August 23-25 in Brisbane.
This prestigious award, open to VASA members or those working in VASA member businesses, aims to recognise and celebrate the exceptional talent and contributions of individuals under 30 years of age within the automotive industry.
Intended to provide a platform that will honour the recipient’s achievements in front of industry leaders, experts, and peers, the biennial REDARC Young Technician of the Year Award will inspire others to develop their skills, talents, and leadership qualities, creating a ripple effect of improvement throughout the automotive industry.
As part of the award, the winner will receive a $5000 retail value prize of items of their choosing from the current REDARC catalogue.
The recipient will have the unique opportunity to connect with industry mentors and peers with a fully funded attendance to the 2024 VASA Wire and Gas Convention, including travel to and from the event, accommodation and registration.
Organised by VASA, Australasia’s peak trade association for specialists in auto air-conditioning, electrical and thermal management, the Wire and Gas convention is renowned for attracting the best brains in the business, delivering an arsenal of knowledge and skills that help attendees navigate the rapid technological change and hot competition facing the automotive sector.
Longstanding VASA member REDARC has more than four decades of experience in the research, design, and advanced manufacturing of power and safety solutions for 4x4s, RVs, and trailers. It says it makes the most rugged, reliable, and innovative voltage converters, power supplies, battery chargers, 12/24V management systems, and trailer braking products on the market.

Nominations for the REDARC Young Technician of the Year Award are now open and will close on June 30, 2024.
The winner will be selected in late July 2024, allowing ample time for travel and accommodation arrangements.
