Designed with an array of built-in features, REDARC – known for its market-leading BCDC range of DC-to-DC battery chargers – says this new product will keep your customers powered on every adventure.
REDARC explains that its Alpha is the only DC-DC charger on the market to feature Start Battery Recovery, stating it will get your customers back on the road in as little as 15 minutes in the event of a flat start battery, through the compatible RedVision smartphone app.
Additionally, your customer can take full advantage of their solar panels thanks to the BCDC Alpha’s Start Battery Charging technology.
When the BCDC Alpha recognises that the secondary battery is full, the charger will automatically redirect solar power to the start battery, keeping their whole system topped up.
Like all REDARC’s BCDC chargers, the BCDC Alpha also includes REDARC’s Green Power Priority, which prioritises solar power over alternator charge to minimise the load on your alternator and save you fuel.
Designed with hybrid vehicles in mind, the BCDC Alpha also offers users configurable input current limits. REDARC says this is a great choice for modern vehicles, giving your customers full control over their power system while aligning their system requirements and protecting their electrical system.
Designed with the latest Bluetooth technology, the BCDC Alpha offers RedVision integration, allowing users to monitor the BCDC Alpha’s charge status, battery temperature and system performance in real-time, all in the palm of your hand.
It is available in 25A and 50A, is compatible with all 12V automotive battery types, and thanks to IP67/69K-rated dust and moisture protection, REDARC explains the BCDC Alpha is engineered to outlast and outperform other chargers in the harshest environments.
Installation of the BCDC Alpha is also said to be a breeze thanks to the push-button interface, screw terminals and compatible wiring kits and vehicle specific mounting brackets.
