REPCO AUTHORISED SERVICE WORKSHOP WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
Moranbah Discount Tyres and Mechanical was celebrated as the Champion
Moranbah Discount Tyres and Mechanical, a Repco Authorised Service workshop based in Queensland, has been named Champion Mechanical Repairs of the 2023 Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards.
Announced as the winner at the Awards’ glittering National Presentation Evening held at the new Western Sydney Conference Centre on Friday the 22nd of September, a representative from Moranbah Discount Tyres and Mechanical accepted the prize on-stage on behalf of their business before a packed auditorium.
Moranbah Discount Tyres and Mechanical was presented with a customised statuette trophy and certificate and gained invaluable kudos as a nationally recognised industry leader.
“This award is the biggest we have ever won and is a true testament of what a small regional local business is capable of – what a business and what a team,” Moranbah Discount Tyres and Mechanical co-owner, Carolyn Fritz, said.
This year marks the inaugural Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards – a prestigious and comprehensive program that celebrates Australia’s most inspiring trades small businesses.
Despite myriad challenges faced by small business owners during the past two years – Moranbah Discount Tyres and Mechanical is clearly exhibiting vital requirements of professional success, team spirit, creativity, hard work and commitment.
“Small businesses have endured a tough couple of years, but they remain as dedicated as ever to service their communities to a high standard and it shows, based on the entries we received from all around the country,” said Steve Loe, Awards Founder and Managing Director of Precedent Productions, which coordinates the Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards.
“There are so many exceptional operators out there and they deserved to be recognised on a national level, hence the decision to produce the Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards program, which has been specifically created to shine a spotlight on the rising economic and social contributions of Trades in small business – spanning all capital cities as well as rural, regional and suburban towns.
“Precedent Productions has been running the Australian Small Business Champion Awards since 1999 so we are generally in tune with the country’s best-performing business operators.
“We created the standalone trade-focused awards program because there is no other awards program that recognises all Trades services and we believe they all deserve a national stage for acknowledgment for tough, mostly manual labour work that they do.”
The Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards saw thousands of entries this year and honoured the achievements of a total of 50 category winners from a broad cross-section of industries.
Additionally, five individual category winners were recognised at the red-carpet event, which was hosted by accomplished journalist and popular broadcaster, Chris O’Keefe.
