R&J BATTERIES’ 30TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATED WITH SUPERCAR LIVERY
This new look for the #8 entry honours the legacy of R&J Batteries

R&J Batteries is gearing up to celebrate its 30th anniversary later this year and the distributor has marked the milestone by unveiling a brand new livery for the #8 R&J Batteries Camaro in the 2025 Supercars Championship.
The classic R&J Batteries colours of red and black are prominent throughout the livery once again with a gradient across the rear panels and bonnet to highlight the sleek lines of the car.
This year’s livery honours the legacy of
R&J Batteries by featuring a new tagline with the logo ‘Celebrating 30 years, 1995 – 2025.’ The 30 years will be commemorated on the car throughout the 2025 season.
“Turning 30 is a huge milestone for R&J Batteries, so we plan to celebrate this throughout all of 2025,” R&J Batteries Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Hamilton, said.
“A key part of these celebrations is the #8 R&J Batteries Camaro. Being able to acknowledge our anniversary in the new livery is very special to us.
“We are extremely proud of our long history. The secrets to our success are alive and well within our business even though we’ve been doing it for 30 years.
“Our People, Our Products, Our Service remain the fundamentals of what we do every day, and that will never change.”
The 2025 Supercars Championship marks
R&J Batteries’ fifth year of partnership with Brad Jones Racing (BJR).
The partnership has been a natural fit with both R&J Batteries and BJR sharing commonalities such as having roots in regional Australia and sharing the same values of excellence and teamwork.
This year, BJR has chosen to tribute Rhonda Robson, Co-Owner of R&J Batteries, for her contributions to the team over the years by registering the chassis of car #8 as ‘Rhonda’ with Motorsport Australia.
Rhonda provides tremendous support by attending nearly all of the races held across the country and bringing her warm and encouraging personality to the team.
“Congratulations to everyone at R&J Batteries on being able to celebrate 30 great years in business,” BJR Team Owner, Brad Jones, said.
“It is a testament to what Ray has built over three decades that they’re in the position they are. Ray is a fantastic person and someone that I count as a friend.”
Last year, Andre Heimgartner’s emotional victory on home soil at Taupo in New Zealand was a proud moment for everyone involved. It was his first top position on the podium with the BJR team and proved that there is even more potential to unlock.
“Returning to Taupo will be special and we all have our eye on the JR Trophy, that’s a big goal for this year. We came close in 2024. We were just a couple of points short in the end but that’s one that would be quite nice to win,” Andre said.
As R&J Batteries embarks on its 30th year, the company says the excitement surrounding the 2025 Supercars Championship is just the beginning of what promises to be a year of celebration and achievement.
With a bold new livery and a renewed commitment to excellence, R&J Batteries says it is not only honouring its past but also setting its sights firmly on the future, with the battery distributor stating that its dedication to sourcing quality products and delivering exceptional customer service remains unwavering while its commitment to supporting motorsports will remain well into the future.
