SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENT FOR INFINITEV

The company has received Australia’s First NTRO Certification for the re-use of HBEV Batteries

In late 2024 Infinitev was awarded Australia’s first-ever NTRO certification for the re-use of Hybrid Battery Electric Vehicle (HBEV) batteries in Australia, making it a pioneer in the field of battery re-manufacturing.
The certification was presented to Infinitev’s General Manager, Dickson Leow, by NTRO’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Caltabiano, at a ceremony held at NTRO’s Port Melbourne headquarters.
This recognition follows a rigorous and independent evaluation of Infinitev’s process for battery reuse by NTRO, ensuring compliance with the highest industry standards.
As electric and hybrid vehicles continue to gain traction, the need for sustainable and reliable battery reuse solutions has never been more critical.
By setting a high standard for battery reuse, Infinitev says it is contributing to the broader effort to reduce battery waste and optimising the lifecycle of advanced battery technologies.
Infinitev says it has always been at the forefront of innovation in this space and states this certification underscores its commitment to supporting the circular economy by extending the life of critical resources.
By meeting NTRO’s stringent criteria, Infinitev says it has demonstrated that its processes are not only technically sound but also aligned with the broader goals of sustainability and circular economy principles.
This certification marks the beginning of a new chapter for Infinitev and the wider industry, with the company stating it is excited to continue its work with NTRO and other stakeholders to drive the adoption of high standards in (BEV) battery reuse.
